Job Description
Major company that is a designer and manufacturer of industrial electic motors, power transmission products, drives and generators is looking for a Senior Design Engineer that willl work in western Arkansas. This professional growth and challenging opportunity is as follows:
Job Description:
Developing motor control algorithms for induction, permanent magnet and switch reluctance motors
Developing control algorithms for active front-end converters
Simulating control algorithms and implementing on various development systems
Conducting research to solve or improve products and the application of the products
Defining software architecture and implementing software to meet product requirements
Perform mentoring functions as a technical resource for other engineers
Contributing towards the continuous improvement of companys product development process
Candidate Requirements:
Detailed, hands-on experience of all, or some, of the following:
Simulation and development of motor control algorithms for induction and permanent magnet motors
Development of firmware for motor drives and/or active front-end converters
Experience in developing embedded software and defining software architecture
Design of high speed microcontroller and DSP hardware
Use of advanced development equipment (logic analyzers, emulators, real time simulation systems, etc)
Good understanding of operating fundamentals for induction, PM and switched-reluctance motors
Proficient in using Matlab, Simulink
Must have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
MSEE degree or equivalent required as a minimum. Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years experience in algorithm and software development for motor control products and/or active front-end converters.
Candidates need to have authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
