Our client provides precision injection molding solutions. They offer plastic manufacturing solutions that include mechanical design of plastic components, product design assistance, new product introduction support, prototyping and development, tool and mold design and fabrication, precision molding, low- to high-volume manufacturing, component assembly, functional testing, Kanban/just-in-time delivery, vendor-managed inventory, and production planning services. The company serves medical, healthcare, electronics, industrial, transportation, aerospace, automotive, packaging, and consumer markets.
They have an immediate opening for a Business Development Leader. This position is part of the senior management team with direct responsibility for growing the revenue of the company which includes selling mold making and precision injection molding services to medical device, firearms and industrial clients in the U.S.
Hire, train and lead the sales team and manufacturer’s reps to achieve revenue and business objectives for a precision injection molding services company.
Motivate: induce daily planning and actions towards prospecting, presenting and closing new business to the company’s specified client profile.
Coach: work with the sales team on pre sales call preparation, on call support/monitoring and post call debriefing as needed to drive continuous improvement in sales performance and process enhancement. Lead closing activities for providing win strategy, executive sponsorship and final negotiations.
Accountability: drive sales performance accountability for all sales team members. This includes daily actions and sales performance results. In cases of underperformance corrective actions are developed, managed and resolved.
Provide management interaction with engineering as a key player to ensure right fit proposals and solutions are developed timely and within client budget parameters.
Meet annual sales team objectives in tooling building during this year and year over year growth in production revenue.
Each sales rep has daily planned activities for prospecting, presenting, closing and negotiations.
Strategy is in place for advancing all closest to close sales opportunities. Lessons learned are conducted on reoccurring schedule. Best practices are developed and enhanced.
Sales team is achieving measurable results for prospecting, pipeline value and sales results. Deficiencies are mitigated within 90 day increments, if performance correction plan is not achieved, redeployment is acted upon.
Establish effective and efficient process for engineering support.
Weekly sale meetings with the president will be for discussing the measurable results in sequential order
