Position
Responsible for the sales and application engineering of large AC & DC power conversion systems ranging in size from 500kw to 50MW. These systems include Thyristor, IGBT Switching Diode Rectifier (Chopper), and inverter technologies for the Electrochemical, Electrowinning, Copper Foil, Renewable Energy and heavy industry for a national and international clientele. An understanding of Inverter technologies as applied to the power conversion and renewable energy applications is an asset in this position.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include supporting the existing large system client base and the development of new large system clients for the application of the company’s power conversion technologies. Position is responsible for the development of technical and commercial proposals in accordance with the customer specifications including contract documents, initial cost analysis and account management.

Requirements
A history of application expertise and a practical understanding of the various power conversion systems that have been used in the mining, electrochemical and heavy industries are required. An understanding of the manufacturing of power conversion systems and a solid sales background in power electronic ‘engineered products’ for high dollar value projects is a requirement.
Excellent English language skills, both written and oral are a necessity in this position. These skills need to include the understanding of technical specifications, drawings, tender documents, preparation/development of cost estimates, written proposals and sales presentations of both a technical & commercial nature. Microsoft suite of PC programs is a requirement.

Experience
Proven experience in the field of Power Electronics, specifically in high power conversion techniques, product application and improvements, sales/warranty administration and the implementation of organizational business strategies as they apply to the sale of the company’s products. They should have proven management skills in interfacing with customers, business units and product managers, and proven success in achieving corporate objectives and customer satisfaction. Individual needs to be a structured and organized self-starter who can work independently as well as in the team environment.
This position requires national and international travel; sometimes on short notice. Fluent in multiple languages a plus. 

Education
10 years of proven experience in the field of Sales & Applications of Power Electronics with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Power Electronics and/or Electric Power Systems

Compensation  $90,000 to $120,000 including base and bonus.
