The Manufacturing Test Development Engineer is responsible for the development of firmware for a variety of test and automated assembly systems. Will work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering group to develop product test and assembly using automation, communication, and vision test firmware. Will develop firmware for new equipment and modify existing firmware to improve test repeatability and time.
Launching several new products and supporting the applications of existing products is key to meeting our short and long term business objectives, as well as meeting our customers' needs. This engineer is essential to accomplishing this.
• Embedded Electrical and Firmware Engineering / Controls knowledge
• Experience with Visual Basic programming
• Experience with National Instruments Labview programming
• Experience with National Instruments IMAQ programming preferred
• Experience with serial communications including USB, RS485, CAN and Ethernet preferred
• Prior manufacturing work experience required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Other language skills, such as Spanish and Chinese, are a plus
